Definitely inspired so many. My contact came when I searched for help for my own child. Help was offered when others would not. I will always be grateful for the family that never saw just a handicapped child. The path on the race will be easier for others.

Just now learning of Dick Hoyts passing! So sad to hear! He and his son Rick were such an inspiration to millions! I loved watching their Ironman stories back in the early 2000s.

When I think of the definition of the word, athlete, I think of team Hoyt. They are beyond inspirational and encouraging to so many others outside of marathons/triathlons. Other athletes from all other disciplines look up to these two and non athletes alike! I was very saddened to hear about Dick’s passing but his and Rick’s legacy surely live on. Thank you for sharing this service with us all
